Role Purpose:
Responsible for valuation, management and delivery of investment opportunities across various Hoist markets.
Key Metrics/Deliverables
- Delivery of accurate valuation work in a timely manner
- Demonstrate knowledge of NPL/PL markets and portfolio characteristics
- Achieve expert user level of Alteryx (and other relevant coding software)
- Demonstrate understanding of key business units
- Demonstrate understanding of investment and company governance
- Demonstrate proactive teamwork and communication across local and jurisdictional teams
Key Responsibilities
- Valuation & analysis of non-performing, performing and secured loan portfolios (with a focus on larger €10m+ and complex deals)
- Building a deep understanding of portfolios up for sale
- Preparing investment cases and presenting to the Hoist Investment Committee
- Working alongside the Senior Investment Manager / Investment Director on non-standard deals and those greater than €25m
- Prepare significant and complex valuations independently
- Present relevant aspects of the transaction to senior management
- Presenting valuation and analysis to senior management
- Conducting market research
- Work with local teams to ensure integrated approach to transactions
- Manage and train junior Investment Analysts / Investment Analysts.
Experience, Knowledge & Technical Skills
- Strong degree in a mathematical/analytical related discipline or equivalent
- 2-4 Years experience in an Investment or Finance role.
- Analytical experience in an investment or financial role would be viewed favourably
- Knowledge of distressed debt
- Knowledge of the industry including Hoist Finance and our competitors
- Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- A technical ability using software (SQL/R/Python or other coding languages)
- Ability to analyse and extract information from large data sets
- Strong quantitative aptitude and proven analytical/modelling skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders
- Able to work on own initiative and confident to take responsibility
- Fluency in English (other European languages an advantage)
